Etiquette experts are happy to tell you what you should and should not do. Whether it's your table manners or what you need in your kitchen cupboard. There is a whole guide about how you should 'behave'. Similarly when it comes to unwritten rules during a wedding.Grain of salt
As with many things, the advice should always be taken with a grain of salt. Because who really likes to hear how he / she should behave? With that said, there are three things you should never do at a wedding. For example, The Independent spoke with the national etiquette expert, Diane Gottsman. And, according to her, there are three rules that you really can't break.
1. Do not wear white
You probably already knew this, but white is reserved for the bride. Unless you are explicitly asked to wear white, but otherwise you would have to pull a different color from your closet.
2. Do not bring your children if it is a 'no child' wedding
The wishes of the couple must be respected, even if it becomes a difficult situation for you. If the wedding is for adults only, then try to stick to it.
3. Do not ask someone to marry at a wedding
Unless of course this has been in good consultation with the bridal couple, but otherwise it is not done. The day revolves around the bride and groom, not another couple who 'steals' the show.
