Everyone has his or her own way of working. One person holds on to infinite to do lists, while the other does see during the day what is on her work path and which task has priority. However, sometimes you have a day when you have to do so much that you don't know where to start for a moment. Then stick to these three tips and you will ensure maximum productivity.
1. Plan your breaks
You plan your entire working week and day full, but you have to take into account that it also includes breaks. Choose a few times per day and decide how long you are allowed to take a break at that time. And take those breaks really. Not behind your desk but at a lunch table or outside.
2. Time management is key
Keep a record of how long you can spend (or approximately) doing something and use, for example, the alarm clock on your phone to keep track of time. This way you can set interim deadlines for yourself and you have something to work towards. Tip: work hard for 25 minutes and then take a few minutes away from your screen. This ensures that you stay sharp.
3. Change workplace
Why wouldn't you change places occasionally? Nowadays we are lucky that almost all of us work on a laptop and you can of course take it everywhere. Use your desk at home, go to the coffee shop around the corner if you need inspiration or sit outside if the weather permits. You will find that the new impulses encourage you to get more done.
