Add a little (or a lot of) adventure to your family trip. We provide three ideas for special and original experiences.Sleep in a treehouse
Bedtime is usually when a day full of adventure ends, but not when you sleep in a treehouse. Each of the nine high-legged lodgings of Baumhaushotel Solling in Germany is hidden in its own oasis of green and gives you the feeling of being completely off the radar (but with heating and electricity). There is a lake where you can go boating or swimming and further on you will find the nature park Solling-Vogler, for detours with the little ones or long trips with the older children. End your days with a barbecue full of Saxon sausages and stories around the campfire.

The gorges of the Ardèche in France are a fantastic backdrop for an epic family trip. Fill your kayaks with camping and picnic gear and head downstream for two days. You navigate along rapids and under the natural rock bridge Pont d’Arc. Then enjoy a barbecue under the stars. Then you can go climbing, abseiling or just hang out.

You don't need a thousand and one nights, seven nights are enough for a wonderful adventure in Oman. You spend the most unforgettable night with a Bedouin family in the Wahiba desert. The children will love the sandboarding and the camel rides. In the evening you dine under the starry sky with shooting stars and satellites. You spend the other days in the capital Muscat and on the coast, where you can spot dolphins and turtles as well as snorkeling and beach camping.
