With travelers currently unable to experience new cities, Airbnb has launched Online Experiences to help people connect and interact virtually. travel.
The new initiative is the online version of Airbnb Experiences, launched in 2016 to provide travelers with a different way to experience a destination by immersing themselves in a host's passions and interests. The goal now is to connect the global community to activities in cities around the world, through Zoom. These are activities such as a meditation with Buddhist monks, Irish dance classes, cello meditation concerts and cooking with a Moroccan family.
Hosts from over 30 different countries including Olympic medalists Alistair Brownlee and Lauren Gibbs. Guests can enjoy a virtual HIIT workout at home, learn about nutrition or take a virtual bike ride. Airbnb offers hosts free access to Zoom along with support services so they can earn revenue by sharing their virtual experiences with millions of guests around the world.
Many people today work from home and colleagues those who want to feel connected again can, for example, participate in group activities such as making coffee with a professional coffee taster. There are features for groups that want to celebrate birthdays or occasions privately, and there is an option to request specific dates for activities such as expert bartending.
