Relationships and marriages are initially positive, but they are also sometimes compared to being imprisoned. We do not get this imprisoned feeling for nothing, because by binding ourselves to someone we have less freedom in certain ways. By taking the following into account, you can counteract the feeling of being stuck.
It is quite risky to commit yourself economically to someone. By doing this, you are dependent on each other in a certain sense and this can create a captive feeling. Think twice about living together, buying things together and sharing bills. These steps only make it harder to break up and just because it's so difficult, you can experience a suffocating feeling.
Also, you can be socially dependent on become each other. This happens if you share the same friends and it is even more worrying not to have friends besides your partner. Your social life depends on your partner and parting means that your entire social life will also die. This too can create a trapped feeling. It is therefore wise to keep your own group of friends.
If you are going to live together, remember that it is quite difficult to share a small space with two people . If possible, an extra room can work out well, so that you are not always in the same room. Also try to find other places where you can withdraw for a moment, such as a library, park or gym. Don't give up your hobbies, because practicing your own hobby that your partner does not participate in will make you feel much more free.
It may not be so ' A nice topic and maybe it seems unreal to talk about it, but it can be smart to occasionally discuss what you would do if your relationship fails. That way you can reassure each other that you will support each other regardless of the situation. This can offer comfort and maybe even make sure you don't want to leave.
