A lot has changed with the coronavirus outbreak, so you are suddenly 'locked up' with your partner for days. While both of you are trying to do your job and make the most of it, it may be getting too much.
For some couples living together, isolation goes not entirely good. More than logical, because you are suddenly on each other's lips 24/7. But it doesn't have to be doom and gloom. So before pasting your partner behind the wallpaper, take a look at the tips below.
1. Make a schedule
Make sure that virtual meetings don't overlap, move to another room if you need to make a call and schedule breaks.
2. Respect each other's work habits.
This may be different from what you are used to.
3. Dare to say 'no'
Don't be offended if your partner says this to you (or vice versa). Think about having a chat while the other person is busy. Simple communication works best to understand each other when you are busy.
4. Really close the working day and spend time together
Is your working day over? Then really close everything, check your mail again the next morning and spend quality time together. Good for yourself, but also for your relationship.
5. Find some time for yourself
Make some time for yourself every day. These can be little things like gardening, reading a book, exercising or trying out a new recipe. A little space for yourself can help you get less irritated. And, calling your family or friends also works wonders!
