Ex-steward reveals: this way you get a better place on the plane

Tight seats are one of the biggest annoyances for many air passengers. There is therefore little that makes them happier than an upgrade on the plane. But how do you get a better place without having to book an expensive ticket? Simon Marton, former steward at British Airways, reveals in his book Journey Of A Reluctant Air Steward how you can arrange a better place. © Offered by Zoover Upgrade on the plane

Upgrade on the plane? With these tips you get a better place!

Dress nicely, is his advice. Put the sweater and jogging pants in your suitcase and make sure you look well-groomed. "If you look like you're dressed for a place in the business class, then you really have a better chance than someone who dresses casual," Marton tells Daily Mail. And that's not the only thing you can do. It also helps to choose a flight that is generally fully booked. Check in a little later than you are used to and you have the chance that you will get an empty seat in the business class because of the crowds. The former steward also has a tip for families: split up. The chance that you as a family all get an upgrade is small. But if you divide the group in two, more is possible. Marton: "I have often seen that teenagers get a place in economy class and a parent with one or two children can take a place in the business class." Source: ANP
