Good news for your wallet when traveling through the US; the National Park Service offers five days free access to all US national parks in 2020.

So if you are planning a trip to one of the beautiful parks, these are the dates where you can take this into account. January 20 (Martin Luther Kingday); April 18 (First day of National Park Week); 25 August (anniversary of National Park Service); 26 September (National Public Lands Day) and 11 November (Veterans Day). On these days, visitors have access to the parks without paying an admission fee - saving you around $ 35 (€ 31) per vehicle.

There are currently 419 parks to visit in the US, of which 111 charge an admission fee. They are all accessible free of charge on these five dates, but bear in mind that the exemption from admission fees does not apply to facilities or user charges for activities such as camping or transportation.
