Did you know that talking to strangers is good for your health? You often feel better because of it, but despite the benefits we often find it very difficult. That is why we have some useful tips to get you over the threshold.

Start in your environment

To make it as easy as possible for yourself, you can do better in your own environment to start. Think of neighbors or neighbors that you have not yet spoken to, the staff of a store that you visit every week or colleagues that you have not said goodbye to. You have enough to talk about because you already share something with them. It will not be strange if you talk to them, because it is very normal to know your neighbors, colleagues and loyal customers.

Keep it short

Having a conversation is not necessary mean that you immediately introduce yourself and get to know each other well. You can also stick to short comments and then continue with your day. Sometimes it stays with your comment and sometimes you get a nice response and it leads to a conversation. Both cases are positive.

Listen to intuition

Many people do not dare to talk to strangers because they are afraid they will harass someone. Therefore always ask yourself how you would react if the roles were reversed and someone addressed you. If you would find it annoying in a certain situation, then you should not try it on someone else. However, if you would like it, there is no reason to assume that someone else will find it annoying.

Ultimately, it is especially important that you just try it. The more often you do it, the easier it gets and the better you understand what works and what doesn't.
