Motivation can give you the energy to reach your goals and get through your workday, but it's not inexhaustible. Therefore, be careful not to get in the way of your motivation by displaying the following behavior.

Unrealistic Goals

Be careful when setting unrealistic goals that you actually know will never work. For example, if you never exercise, it is not wise to decide that you suddenly start exercising every day. You may be motivated at first, but chances are you will give up after a few days, weeks, or months. It is better to set a feasible goal that you can really stick to.

Plans

Do you have a great idea? Then get started as soon as possible and avoid getting stuck in the planning phase. Preparation is of course important, but the longer you wait to actually implement an idea, the less likely you are to do it.

Long term

If you have long term to achieve goals, it is important that you continue to celebrate your small wins. For example, is your goal to lose 20 pounds? If you lose a kilo per month you can feel worthless because you make relatively little progress. However, do not forget that any progress is valuable. Every pound you lose is a step in the right direction and you should be proud of that!
