A scrub is a nourishing ingredient combined with granules, so that you can remove the dead skin cells from your skin. If you go to work yourself, you can use salt or sugar for the grains. These ingredients dissolve and therefore you cannot damage your skin.
What do you need in addition to granules? That depends a bit on the type of scrub you want to make. So you can make a soothing scrub, but also a coarse or a tropicana. Happy in Shape explains!
1 coffee cup of olive oil
1 coffee cup of salt
1 teaspoon of fragrance oil (such as lavender oil) < / p>
This soothing scrub provides super soft skin that is free of dead skin cells. Be aware that salt can irritate the skin, so if you have sensitive skin, you better use sugar for the granules.
1 coffee cup ground sunflower seeds mixed with wheat bran
1 coffee cup yogurt or milk
This scrub is a lot heavier, so be careful how you use it. For example, if you quickly suffer from ingrown hairs at your bikini line, a coarse scrub is not recommended. With a hard and coarse scrub, you run the risk of removing the protective layer from the skin too much, which makes it even more sensitive. And you don't want that.
1 coffee cup of brown sugar
Half coffee cup of honey
3 tablespoons of lemon juice p >
1 tablespoon of grated ginger
This scrub will not only smell super delicious, but is also great for your skin. Why? The ginger in it cleans deeply, promotes blood circulation and the removal of toxins. In addition, honey keeps your skin supple and healthy and has a soothing effect.
