An extensive skincare routine is very important. We often only get conflicting advice when it comes to skin care. So what does the 'perfect' step-by-step plan for healthy skin look like? We've listed a few steps for you.
Cleaning: The first step is cleaning. The goal is to wake up your skin by increasing circulation, clearing away dead skin cells and preparing the skin surface for effective absorption of all products.
Prevention: The best way to improve overall health to restore your skin by combining a powerful antioxidant serum with a day cream that contains a high SPF content. The SPF protects you from the sun's rays and the antioxidants provide your skin with long-lasting protection and repair of your skin.
Moisturize: A completely optional step is a moisturizer. For those with extremely dry skin (eczema or dermatitis), applying a lipid-rich moisturizer in the morning and evening can help. This relieves the discomfort and dryness that comes with dry skin. If you don't have dry skin, you can opt for a hyaluronic acid (HA) serum to moisturize the skin.
Eyes: The most effective way to treat and protect sensitive skin around the eyes during the day is to starting with an (antioxidant) eye serum. Followed by a high SPF cream specially formulated for the eyes to protect the eyes from harmful UV rays.

In the evening
Cleansing: This crucial step not only removes all make-up from your skin, but also removes all dirt and natural oils that build up on the skin's surface. / p>
Use a cleanser containing AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), such as glycolic acid or lactic acid, or BHAs (beta hydroxy acids) such as salicylic acid, to accelerate cell turnover and brighten the skin.
Strengthen: During your sleep your skin is busy recovering. So the best time to boost your skin with ingredients that help with cell renewal and damage repair is at night. Products with retinol in them work best at night.
Moisturize: Use a moisturizing cream rich in emollient ingredients if you have dry skin. Does your skin need extra moisture? Then use a night serum based on hyaluronic acid. Use this before you use retinol. Also, wait 10 minutes before applying the other product, so as not to lessen the effects.
