Is there a better place for beach vacations than Greece? The country with the longest coastline and most islands in Europe is a big favorite with real beach bums. Do you also dream of a bright sun and clear water to take a dip? Book a vacation to the Cyclades. Mykonos, Paros and Naxos are highly recommended for a beach holiday. Or choose your holiday destination based on the most beautiful beaches. Balos on Crete, Myrtos on Kefalonia, Porto Katsiki on Lefkada, Super Paradise on Mykonos and Navagio on Zakynthos are a number of favorite beaches for holidaymakers. Greek holiday for foodies

Would you like to taste a bit of a selfish touch? Pack your bags for Sifnos, Kasos or Crete. Visit the capital of Sinos, Apollonia, a place full of good restaurants and beautiful arhontika (mansions). Sifnos is a delight for gourmets and a favorite of actress Scarlett Johansson. The fish bar Omega3 is highly recommended! From Mediterranean parrot fish to delicious Kasiot cheeses: the island of Kasos is a dream destination for foodies. But the famous island of Crete is also a top destination for good food. Cretan cuisine is so diverse and unique that locals even send homegrown products to their families on mainland Greece.

Cultural holidays in Greece

Do you like ruins? No shortage of cultural attractions in Greece. The colossus of Rhodes was one of the seven ancient wonders of the world, but has long since disappeared. The palace of the Knights of Rhodes is still there and is certainly worth a visit. Just like Lindos Acropolis, the ruins of the ancient citadel. Delos, just southwest of Mykonos, is a spectacular archaeological site. According to myths, it is the birthplace of the Greek god Apollo. You sail there by boat, ideal for a day trip from Mykonos. The numerous ancient Greek and Roman ruins make Kos - the birthplace of Hippocrates - a dream destination for history lovers. The ruins of the Asklepion are a real must-visit and the archaeological museum is also recommended. © Offered by Zoover
