Writer / columnist Saskia Noort (52) posted a photo of herself with a high ponytail on Instagram last weekend. "A tail is therefore no longer allowed," she concluded after a follower wondered if she was not too old for that now. What do you think? Is there an age when a certain hairstyle is no longer possible?
A survey of 2000 readers of the English newspaper Daily Mail showed that the average age at which women cut their hair short is 46 years. Nevertheless, more and more women wear their hair long, even when they are (far) above 50. Just look at Madonna; she turns 61 this month and also wears a ponytail regularly.
